Parent Coaching

Parenting can be incredibly rewarding—and also incredibly frustrating.

You may find yourself having the same arguments, repeating the same directions, or wondering why strategies that seem like they should work just aren’t working with your child. Maybe mornings feel chaotic, homework turns into a battle, emotions escalate quickly, or you’re simply unsure how to respond without making things worse.

Sometimes, you don’t need long-term therapy. You just need a better understanding of what’s happening and a clear plan for what to do differently.

That’s where parent coaching can help.

Practical Support for Real-Life Parenting Challenges

Parent coaching is a short-term, focused service designed to help you better understand your child’s behavior and feel more confident in how you respond to it.

Rather than focusing extensively on the past, our work is centered around what is happening in your family right now. Together, we identify the patterns that aren’t working, clarify what you would like to change, and develop realistic strategies you can begin using at home.

Parent coaching may be helpful with:

  • Anxiety and avoidance
  • ADHD and executive functioning challenges
  • Emotional regulation and big reactions
  • Morning and bedtime routines
  • Homework and school-related struggles
  • Boundaries and limit-setting
  • Parent-child communication
  • Increasing independence and responsibility
  • Sibling or family conflict
  • Navigating adolescence
  • Understanding when to support your child—and when to step back

Sometimes the Best Way to Help Your Child Is to Support the Parent

When your child is struggling, it’s natural to focus on changing their behavior. But often, small changes in how parents respond, communicate, set expectations, or approach difficult moments can make a meaningful difference in the entire family dynamic.

My role isn’t to tell you how to parent. You know your child and your family best. My role is to help you understand what may be driving a behavior, recognize patterns that are keeping everyone stuck, and give you evidence-based strategies that fit your family.

Short-Term. Focused. Practical.

Parent coaching is intentionally designed to be short-term and goal-directed. We identify a specific concern, develop a plan, practice strategies, and make adjustments based on what is—and isn’t—working at home.

The goal isn’t perfect parenting or perfectly behaved children. It’s helping you feel more confident in your decisions, more connected to your child, and better equipped to handle the challenges that come with raising them.

You don’t need an instruction manual. Sometimes you just need the right tools, a different perspective, and a plan that works for your family.
